How You Can Honor A Military Member

 

Adams County residents who have an active military loved one are encouraged to download and complete the ACCF Military Gallery Information Sheet below in order to share their loved one's information.  Completed forms (along with a picture of the military loved one in uniform) may be mailed or dropped off to the ACCF at 102 N. Second St., Decatur, IN 46733 or emailed to DonorRelations@AdamsCountyFoundation.org.

A poster highlighting your active military loved one will be created and proudly displayed on the (front) Madison Street windows of the ACCF for the community to see.  Should your loved one experience a change in rank, duty station, deployment, etc, please inform the ACCF so that we may update the poster.  Twice a year, the ACCF conducts an update of all Military Gallery personnel to ensure accuracy of information.  These updates typically occur in late March and September so that all information is correct before Memorial Day and Veterans Day newspaper publications, respectively.

In addition, the ACCF continues to show support to our active military members through the "Troop and a Tour... for the Troops" program with our local Scouting America and Girl Scout Troops.  Each year the ACCF buys Scouting America popcorn and Girl Scout cookies and provides these items free of charge to the families of active military members to send to their active duty loved ones for inclusion in their Hometown Heroes' care packages.  Postcard notice is always sent to the families to pick up popcorn and cookies at the ACCF office while supplies last.
