Jim and Ruth Price are well-known in Adams County. Jim
and Ruth had been members of the First United Methodist Church (FUMC) in Decatur for several decades. They
served as ushers and greeters for many years.
Ruth was a graduate of Decatur High
School. She served on various committees at the FUMC and volunteered at the
Hope Chest. While she worked as a homemaker, Ruth also volunteered her time at
Adams Memorial Hospital and enjoyed reading.
Jim graduated from Pleasant Mills
High School. He helped his father on their farm with milking dairy cows and
working in the field. He was the owner and operator of Price Ag for 50+ years and
nearing retirement he worked part-time with Ebbert seeds.
Jim is well-known for his wit and impressive memory of
the generations of Adams County residents and happenings.
Jim and Ruth have three daughters: Susan A. (Adam) Miller, Kathleen Kay Price, and
Nancy Price. This
fund was established to honor the legacy of the Price family and their many
contributions to our community.
