Married in 1950, Vic and Kris Porter are well known for their loyal commitment to this community. If one lives in Adams County, Indiana it would be very difficult not to have some sort of involvement with this very active couple or their family.
Parents of five sons and one daughter, all of their children have followed in their parents’ footsteps to become advocates for their church, family, and community. This couple along with their children - John, Scott, Grant, Wayne, Jean, and Ted - have donated tirelessly of their time, talents, and treasures.
They are especially known for the establishment of the Formula, Thunderbird Watercraft business and their numerous, respected community leadership positions. However, at the risk of omitting a club, board, committee, or benevolent order, this article will cover only a rarely known snippet: Victor Butler Porter’s grandfather’s cousin was Sara Hoskinson Snow (see John and 'Sadie' Snow Fund).
