Richard F. Linn, 89 was a member of the Zion United
Church of Christ. He was also a member of the Decatur Masonic Lodge 571 F.
& A.M Scottish Rite Valley of Fort Wayne, American Legion, Post 43, VFW
Post 6236, Order of the Purple Heart, and Decatur Lions Club while his hobby
was creating beautiful stained glass displays.
Richard served in the United
States Army during the WW II. He was the recipient of the Purple Heart,
Distinguished Service Cross, two Bronze Stars, the French Croix de Guerre, and
the French Legion of Valor.
Colleen L. Linn, 89, was a member
of the Zion United Church of Christ and of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Colleen
was also active in the Music Department of Decatur Women’s Club and Research
Club. For 25 years, Richard was a funeral director and partner with Wintergg
& Linn Funeral Home, Decatur (which is currently Haggard, Sefton, Hirschy,
Zelt Funeral Home) while Colleen worked alongside her husband for the same
number of year.
Married
for 66 years, they had two daughters, Nancee Linn and Cathee (Linn) Graves, two
grandchildren, three great grandchildren.

supporters of Decatur and our community and they are well remembered.
