Jayden Emilee James

September 23, 2007-February 28, 2016

Jayden Emilee James, 8, of Decatur, IN, passed away after an extended illness. Jayden was born in Indianapolis to Jason A. and Robin R. (Roe) James.

Jayden was a 2nd grader and a girl scout at Adams Central. She attended preschool at Bluffton Elementary. She was a member of the Life Church and The Bridge Community Church.

Jayden was beautiful inside and out, had a heart of gold, and a smile that could light up a room. She didn't know stranger and would hug everyone she met. Her thick and curly hair could usually be seen affixed with a bow placed by her mother. She was truly a blessing to all.

She is survived by her parents, Jason and Robin James of Decatur; maternal grandparents, Jim and Ginni (Roe) McDonald of Decatur; paternal grandparents, Delmer and Alice (Pinkerton) James of Keystone, IN; a brother, Dylan K. James of Bluffton; six uncles, Roger (Athena) Roe of Bluffton, Shaun (Karla) Roe of Leo, Shane (Stefanie) Roe of Decatur, Brent (Amy) James of Thorntown, IN, Ryan (Laura) James of Bluffton and Todd (Becky) McDonald of Decatur; three aunts Deatra (Jason) Webb of Elkhart, Amy Shell of Ft. Wayne and Cathy (Wayne) Brooks of Leo; 27 cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Roger L. Roe.

This scholarship will be an annual tribute to Jayden and the happiness she brought so many people.
