The Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) chapter of Bellmont High School established a fund in the Adams County Community Foundation in 1997.  Originally founded at the school in 1992, this fund honors Alena E. Brock, a Fort Wayne woman and founder of the DECA program in 1976, to ensure that an annual scholarship would be awarded to a Bellmont graduate in her memory.

The goal of DECA is to assist young people who are interested in careers in marketing and management toacquire the skills to become future leaders in those fields.  It is a club/extended group of friends with common interests.

To be eligible for this scholarship, the senior must be a member of DECA and a soon-to-be graduate of BHS.  This scholarship is administered by the DECA coordinator and advisors at the Bellmont High School.
