The daughter of David and Penny Bressler, Ellie was a loving and vibrant five-year-old sister to Anna and Chance. Ellie was a fixture at St. Joseph Catholic School where she was not only a pre-school student, but a steadfast volunteer with her mother. An energetic dancer and a member of the Decatur Dance Academy, Ellie was always singing as loudly as possible, and it would brighten every one's day to hear her voice.
Ellie passed away two days after her 5th birthday in September of 2006. In her memory, the family and friends of Ellie established this fund to establish a scholarship for a graduating Bellmont high school senior majoring in education, support child safety seats, and provide funding for preschool education throughout the community. Additionally, the Eleanor Bressler Foundation has been established in her memory to support the same initiatives while allowing groups the opportunity to make Eleanor's Trunk a service project.
