DECA Fund (Scholarship)

Est. 1997
Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) – chapter of Bellmont High School established a fund in the Adams County
Community Foundation in 1997.  This fund was established in 1992 in honor of Alena E. Brock, a Fort Wayne woman, founder of the DECA program in 1976, to ensure that an annual scholarship would be awarded to a Bellmont graduate in her memory.
The goal of DECA is to assist young people who are interested in careers in marketing and management and acquire the skills to become future leaders in those fields.
It is a club/extended group of friends with common interests.  To be eligible for the scholarship the senior must be a member of the DECA and a graduate of the BHS.  This scholarship is administered by the DECA coordinator and advisors at the Bellmont High School.
