Generous supporters of the Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF) and this community, David and Sandra Collier established one of the newest funds: the David and Sandra Collier Community Enrichment Fund.
David Collier grew up in Decatur, Indiana and has been in the insurance business for 40 years starting in 1968 while he was still a student at Indiana University.
Dave met fellow Decatur resident Sandra (Singleton) while both were attending and later graduating from Indiana University: Dave in Business Management and Sandra in Education / Home Economics. They returned to their hometown of Decatur, Indiana where they have been very loyal community supporters.
Dave and Sandra have been active members of Adams County working in various capacities with the: First United Methodist Church, Decatur Chamber of Commerce / Board, Junior Achievement, Boys Scouts of America (Dave, an Eagle Scout, has been a leader since 1971), and the Adams County Community Foundation (ACCF). Further, they have provided support to: Adams/Jay/Wells/Youth for Christ / Campus Life, American Red Cross, Love INC., and other Christian based organizations.
Dave and Sandra have three children: Jenifer (Schloemer), Kristina (Gerber), and Cameron Collier, and (as of 2008) four grandchildren – all under the age of 5 years-old.
Dave and Sandra Collier have recently established funds in the ACCF in honor and memory of their parents:
Doyle and Sara Lu Collier Community Enrichment Fund and the Roger and Betty Singleton Memorial Community Enrichment Fund and the Legacy Partners: David and Sandra Collier Memorial Donor-Advised Fund.
